To get started, I'd like to share a view of my hometown, which both inspires and soothes me on a daily basis. I'm trying to get in the habit of finding beauty in everyday life—granted, not all that hard to do in Italy, yet it's easy to get overwhelmed by must-dos and worries, melancholy and doubt. In today's world, it seems that we need to give ourselves permission to be kind and forgiving when we're struggling. So tell me, what do you do on a daily or regular basis to cope with life's challenges, big and small? How kind are you to yourself, and how hard is it to be kind? It seems the older I get, the more questions I have.
